Scholarships for Veterans

              

         

The waitlist is now open!

Through the VA Scholarship Program, Brentwood School offers children of Veterans the opportunity to enjoy Summer at Brentwood without the burden of tuition. Full scholarships are based on availability and VA approval. Each year, Brentwood School awards a minimum of 120 weeks to Summer at Brentwood fully paid.

To be considered for the waitlist, simply:
  • Complete the VA Scholarship application on this page.
  • Gather your child(ren)’s medical history, health insurance, and emergency contact information so that you have everything you need to register your child(ren).

  • Review Summer at Brentwood offerings. Make note of preferred courses and date ranges so that you are ready to sign up.  

The VA Scholarship Program for Summer at Brentwood is available to the children, stepchildren, and grandchildren of all Veterans with discharge in alignment with VA requirements. VA prioritizes scholarship decisions based on the following criteria:

  1. First Time Applicants currently in VA Homeless Programs
  2. Return Applicants currently in VA Homeless Programs
  3. Veterans actively enrolled in and receiving care at GLA Healthcare System, including employees who are Veterans
  4. All other Veterans

Application Timeline:
  • March 5, 2026: Application deadline for VA Scholarships to Summer at Brentwood
  • March 6, 2026: Waitlist applications available
  • March 16, 2026: VA award decisions sent via email to on-time VA Scholarship applicants
  • April 6, 2026: Registration deadline for on-time VA Scholarship recipients.
  • April 7, 2026: Spaces released to waitlist families.

Applicants will receive award notification via email on March 16 and will be given until the April 6 deadline to claim their award and fully register their child(ren). After that, unclaimed scholarships will be released to waitlist applicants.

Beginning in April, spaces will be released on a weekly basis to VA Scholarship applicants on the waitlist until all scholarship weeks are claimed. Once waitlist applicants receive award notifications, they will have one week to complete registration by submitting all required family and student notification.

IMPORTANT: Please do not complete an enrollment form on the Summer at Brentwood website before receiving your VA Scholarship award decision. Summer at Brentwood registrations completed in advance of the VA Scholarship award notification require payment in full.
