Engineering is a one-week, hands-on course where students learn how engineers turn ideas into real objects. Students will sketch and design parts using CAD software like Onshape, then build their designs using shop tools and fabrication equipment. Throughout the week, students will take on design challenges that focus on problem solving, creativity, building, and testing their ideas. Students will create a product of their choice, test their prototypes, learn from what works and what does not, and make improvements. By the end of the camp, students will have an introduction to CAD, basic fabrication skills, and the full engineering process from idea to tested solution.
