The singer-songwriter workshop provides an opportunity for students to hone their skills for self-expression as songwriters and performers. Students will create new works and develop performance skills on piano, guitar, and voice. The workshop will allow students to gain performing experience and receive feedback on their work in an intimate and supportive environment. Class time will focus on song fundamentals and the connection between emotion, imagination, and self-expression. A variety of songwriting styles will be explored and musical collaboration will be encouraged. The workshop will conclude with a “coffee house” style concert performance.
Tuition: $600 (textbook fees additional)
