CIT Camp

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is the first step in an individual's transition from camper to potential staff member. CITs develop strong leadership skills through training, discussion, observation, and practice.

The aim of this program is to challenge CITs to engage in new and traditional activities, build friendships, and help develop a positive work ethic that they can apply to any leadership experience.* All of our CITs are mentored and guided by our experienced counselors. The program offers a variety of teen leadership activities designed to develop or enhance skills like: communication, conflict management, and time management. CITs will have the opportunity to participate in the Lower Camp as mentors and group leaders and develop their ability to lead in a variety of situations.

CIT campers are encouraged to sign up for both sessions so they can best utilize their leadership skills during the Lower Day Camp (K-6). This camp takes place on our West Campus.

Instructor: Radhika Khandelwal, Brentwood Middle School Dean & Human Development Teacher

*CITs will be able to test for a FirstAid/CPR training and certification during Session 1.
